Applications
- Cleaning compounds can be used for washing a work-over rig, oil well, pumping unit, coil tubing unit, pump jack, or any other type of equipment, the cleaning can be done in a wash rack or in the field.
Solvent base Cleaning Compounds
- These are mainly applied when the foulant is organic and temperature cannot be increased to soften the dirt and also can be applied to the water-soluble material glued with hydrocarbon dirt.
- Usually, high aromatic solvent is the best or in combination with surfactants can also be used.
Aqueous Cleaning Compounds
- These can be used for almost all kinds of dirt when the cleaning is associated with mechanical aid. These have restriction when the system temperature cannot be elevated to increase the dirt softening.
- Aqueous type cleaners are cost effective and easy to handle.
